Styled in a dark brown sunburst finish, the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95QA is a hollow-body electric guitar featuring a quilted ash top, back and sides. Its three-piece, set-in neck is fashioned out of maple and mahogany, and sports a bound ebony fingerboard. You’ll note 22 medium frets with acrylic block inlays. An ART-1 bridge and VT06 tailpiece anchor the strings to body, with gold hardware throughout.
For electronics, the instrument is equipped with a pair of Super 58 humbucking neck and bridge pickups, along with a three-way pickup selector switch, and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. The pickups offer a rich, nuanced tone with fat low end which nicely complements the wood’s inherent tonal qualities. A set of Sure Grip III volume and tone control knobs have been designed not only to offer precise control, but to give the instrument a distinct vintage look.
Ebony Fingerboard
Ebony produces a tight low and midrange with an iconic attack on the high end. It also features a quick response and rich sustain.
Super 58 Pickups
The Super 58 pickups deliver a smooth, nuanced tone, as well as a biting growl suitable for the blues.
ART-1 Bridge
The ART-1 bridge provides improved sustain and tuning stability.
