Whether you’re on land, on the sea, or under it, the Descent Mk2i GPS Diving Smartwatch & T1 Bundle from Garmin can track your activities, monitor your health, and keep you connected. Primarily designed for divers, the multiple dive modes can handle a variety of dive types, such as single or multiple gas dives, gauge, closed-circuit rebreather, and more. These modes are customizable, and you can track and share your dives via the Garmin Dive app. You can also utilize the included Descent T1 transmitter to monitor stats on up to five different tanks.

Integrated GPS can be used to locate entry/exit points, and also be used to track a cycling or running routes with turn-by-turn directions along the path. Outside of diving, the Descent Mk2i supports a plethora of activities to help you track your fitness journey. Preloaded sport profiles include trail running, swimming, running, hiking, rowing, skiing, golfing, and more. How your body handles these activities is essential, which is why the Descent Mk2i also provides optical wrist-based heart rate monitoring, a Pulse Ox sensor, and tracking of your breathing. With the addition of support for Garmin Pay, smartphone notifications, and more, the Descent Mk2i smartwatch is an ideal companion throughout your daily life and adventures.

Air Integration with T1 Transmitter

The included Descent T1 transmitter gives you integrated pressure monitoring on up to 5 tanks via the SubWave sonar data network. It’s an ideal option when diving with multiple tanks or to keep tabs on the tanks of a fellow diver. The transmitter relays remaining battery, tank pressure, remaining air time, and air consumption rate for multiple dive types, right to the MK2i’s display. You can take the Descent T1 down to a depth of up to 372.9′ and data can transmit to your smartwatch from up to 32.8′ away. Additional T1 features include:

  • Transmits over 2.4 GHz at 0 dBm
  • ANT (surface) & sonar (underwater) transmission
  • Up to 100 hours of battery life
  • Powered by a lithium CR123A 3V battery

Transmit important data for you and other divers within a range of up to 32.8′. It can transmit air time, air consumption rate, and more.

Dive Modes

The Descent Mk2i supports the following types of dives: single and multiple gas dives (including nitrox and trimix), gauge, apnea, apnea hunt, and closed-circuit rebreather. Each of these modes are customizable, letting you add more screens for the fields and information that’s most important to you.

Dive Log

Via the Garmin Dive app, you can store and review the data on up to 200 drives and share that online.

InReach Compatible

The Descent Mk2i can be paired with (optional) InReach satellite communicators and InReach dive cases.

GPS Navigation

Built-in GPS support lets you follow a route or course with turn-by-turn navigation. You can also utilize round-trip routing, which lets you enter a specific distance you want to travel, and then provides suggested routes that will get you there and back. With Trendline popularity routing, you can find a popular path or one that’s off the beaten path.

Performance Metrics

View a wide variety of metrics as you exercise, such as running dynamics, heat- and altitude-adjusted VO2 max, recovery adviser, and more.

Wrist-Based Optical Heart Monitor

Gauge how intense an activity is and view heart rate variability to calculate your stress level. It even works underwater without an additional heart rate strap.

Pulse Ox

This sensor uses light beams on your wrist to gauge how well your body is absorbing oxygen. It’s an ideal feature for casually monitoring a respiratory ailment, altitude acclimation, or sleep quality.

All Day Respiration

The Descent Mk2i can track how you’re breathing throughout the day, while you sleep, and during breathwork and related activities, such as yoga.

Safety & Tracking

If you feel unsafe or your watch senses an incident, assistance and incident detection features will send your location to emergency services. Please note that this feature is not available in Dive Mode.
